Management Team

Tian Siang Group of Companies have been managed by the following key personnels, with vast experiences in wide ranges of areas, who are the true strength of the group. The Group has the technical expertise to undertake projects ranging from orchard cultivations (i.e. durian, mango, guava, banana etc.), oil palm plantations and millings, palm fibre-board manufacturing and laminating, conduct Research & Development in oil palm related products, and to undertake consultancy and construction in civil and structure. Involvement in fast food business under the franchise system will further expansion in these areas.

The Group has pioneered in converting oil palm Empty Fruit Bunches (EFB) into Fibre Board and Paper Pulp. The Group is currently undertaking some R&D works in converting other palm waste into useful and high economic value products.

Automobile and insurance business has become another significant area of growth in the last few years. Involvement in fast food business under franchise system will further diversified our business sector.

	Group Chairman Ooi Tian Huat The Founder of Tian Siang Group of Companies, has more than 40 years of experiences in the Oil Palm Plantation and Palm Oil Milling business.
	Group Managing Director Yap Kim Aik Biographe in Barons Who's Who in Global Banking & Finance (International Edition) A Civil & Structural engineer by training. Mr. Yap's past experiences include researching and teaching in US university, with vast experiences in automation and computerised interfacing of industrial equipments. Mr. Yap also worked as structural designer on Highway and Building Structures for two years in USA prior to joining Tian Siang Group. Mr. Yap has been heading the group operations since 1990. He has conducted feasibility studies and provided advices on various type of projects for variuos local business groups. Mr. Yap is also a member of the following associations: 1. Incorporated Society of Planters, Lower Perak Branch. 2. Registered Engineer In-Term, Oklahoma Board of Engineers, USA. 3. Registered Graduate Engineer, Institute of Engineers Malaysia. 4. American Management Association. 5. Malaysian Institute of Management. 6. Certified Member of Federation of Malaysian Unit Trust Managers. 7. Certified Member of Persatuan Insuran Am Malaysia. Mr. Yap Holds a Master of Science degree specialising in Project Management, Structure, and Material Science from Oklahoma State University, USA and a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering.
	Group Executive Director Steven Tan Choon Teck Mr. Steven Tan was with Hewlett Packard Singapore Pte Ltd, in the manufacturing environment for four years involving in software development, automation, project management and process improvement. Mr. Steven has been invloved in the group's operation since 1993. Mr. Steven Tan holds a Master in Business Administration from Henley Management College(UK), Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science major in Computer Science and Information Technology from University of Western Australia and Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from Singapore Polytechnic. He has also completed the ISO 9000 Assessor course. He is also a Certified Member of Persatuan Insuran Am Malaysia.
	Director Ooi Sing Hwat Mr. Ooi has for the past twenty years involved in plantation particularly oil palm and orchards. Mr. Ooi has been heading field operations of the group's oil palm plantations and fruit orchards. Mr. Ooi also heads the construction of the group's integrated palm oil mills and fibre-board plants.
	Director Ooi Kean Huat Mr Ooi has worked in Ganda Edible Oils Sdn Bhd before joining the group and now has been involved in operations of Tian Siang Group of Companies.
	General Manager - Agro-Based Group Ong Swan Bee Mr Ong has over twenty six years of experience in plantation, especially in palm oil cultivation. His last appoinment was with Jerroco Plantations Sdn Bhd (a subsidiary of Malaysia Mosaic Berhad). Mr Ong holds a Diploma in Agriculture and Certificate in Oil Palm Cultivation & Management. He is an Associate member of Incorporated Society of Planters. Mr Ong has Been heading the agro-based group since 1995.
	Senior General Manager - Manufacturing Group General Manager - Oil Mill & Fibre-Board Plant Division Ang Yee Peng Mr Ang has more than 25 years of experience in palm oil milling industry. His last appoinment was with Gabungan Perusahaan Minyak Langkap Sdn Bhd for eight years before joining the group. Mr Ang holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from National Cheng Kung University, Taiwan and a 1st Grade Steam Engineer Certificate of Competency. Mr Ang has been heading the manufacturing group since 1996.
	General Manager - Project and Corporate Planning Tee Chew Tek Mr Tee has extensive experience in vegetable oil refinery. He worked with Ganda Group of Companies in 1978-1993. He was a Factory Manager with Tinex Kaolin Sdn Bhd in 1994. In 1995 Mr Tee joined Hongkong based Voray Holdings Ltd Co. based in Wuhan China where he has worked for about 7 years prior to joining the group. Mr Tee holds a Master of Business Administration from International Management Centres - Multinational (Buckingham) and Bachelor of Science degree from University of London (Ext.). He is an Asociate Member of Institute of Chemistry Malaysia (AMIC), member of Malaysian Institute of Management (MMIM) and Associate member of Incorporated Society of Planters (AISP). Mr Tee joins the group in 2001
